Market Manager – Maynard’s Market and Kitchen in downtown Tucson is seeking a Market Manager. The Market Manager is responsible for all retail aspects of Maynard’s Market and Kitchen in downtown Tucson is seeking a Market Manager. The Market Manager is responsible for all retail aspects of a gourmet food, wine and artisan market, with direct control over labor, costs, inventory, merchandising, and profitability. The Manager is expected to meet and/or exceed Company budgetary expectations, revenue, and net profit along with customer service standards. The Market Manager is responsible for product placement and sourcing, menu quality, and customer service in the Market.
The successful applicant must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and excel in a team-oriented environment. She/he must also have effective decision-making skills and strong problem solving skills. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is necessary. Knowledge and understanding Point of Sale (POS); Health Code standards/regulations; budget development; merchandising strategies and mark up, and artisan and local product sourcing is required.
Minimum requirements: 2 years demonstrated Retail and/or Gourmet/Restaurant experience preferred.
The Market is open Sunday through Thursday from 7am to 8pm with extended hours until 10pm on Friday and Saturday
Benefit package includes Medical, Dental, 401k, time off, and more. Salary with commission and bonus -- ability to affect total compensation.
